Song: Unforgettable

Terry Fator is a fantastic American ventriloquist from Texas who has just won the contest "America's got talent". What is amazing is that his puppets not only talk and 'act', but they also sing. Here is Terry and his puppet Emma Taylor doing a Nat King (and Natalie) Cole impersonation, singing "Unforgettable". Then click here to try an activity to practise word formation (verbs - adjectives).

Unforgettable, that's what you are
Unforgettable, though near or far
Like a song of love that clings to me
How the thought of you does things to me
Never before has someone been more
Unforgettable in every way
And forever more, that's how you'll stay
That's why, darling, it's incredible
That someone so unforgettable
Thinks that I am unforgettable too

Monica,
Ha Ha Ha! That was sooo much fun. Just what we need in the classroom - learning and laughing at the same time. Well done!

Hi Ramona,

I was absolutely amazed at how versatile Fator is - he goes from Louis Armstrong to Roy Orbinson and Dean Martin... Many of his performances can be found in YouTube. His work is one of the coolest things I've seen on the net lately!

Dear Monica,

Thanks ton for sharing this wonderful performance. I think that our organizers of Foreign Languages Party at our University will take into account this as a sample for their future Party planning.

You have been doing great exploring and putting such wonderful resources to your blog.

Hi Monica: At the beginning I uploaded “Take my hand, Precious Lord” sung by Mahalia Jackson, but I realized that she sings only a part of the lyrics. Then I found Elvis who sings the complete song and decided to add it. Even though I have to say that Mahalia sings in a very impressive way and her voice is like a thunder. I imagine when the Lord listened to her opened the door of Heaven to receive King in his arms.
